YKK Corporation wins Orange Innovation Award 2024

YKK Corporation, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, announced that the company won the Orange Innovation Award 2024 for its zippers designed for those with dementia, the click-TRAK® Magnetic zipper. The award was organized by the secretariat of the Dementia Innovation Alliance Working Group of Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. YKK was presented with the award on March 5.

The Orange Innovation Award 2024 aims to promote the development of products and services in industries and fields that help people with dementia accomplish daily tasks and activities. The award is given to user-friendly products and services for people affected by dementia, highlighting the products and services created based on feedback from those affected.

YKK was acknowledged for its efforts in developing applications for multiple generations based on feedback from people with dementia, including the click-TRAK® Magnetic zipper, which uses magnetic force to align its openings.
