Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, a dyeing and finishing technology company based in Mönchengladbach, Germany, announced that Volker Gingter has been appointed managing director.
Gunnar Meyer stepped down as managing director on Dec. 31, 2025, and will remain with the company in an advisory role until his retirement in July 2026.
“All at Monforts would like to thank Gunnar Meyer for his dedication and great commitment in helping keep Monforts competitive and defending its position as a world market leader,” says Nicole Croonenbroek, marketing manager. “We wish him all the best in the next exciting chapter of his life.”
Gingter began his career as an electrician in 1997 at Sucker-Müller-Hacoba, also based in Mönchengladbach, and joined Monforts in 2000 as an in-house commissioning engineer. From 2010–2013, he worked at Esprit on the development of a new European warehouse before rejoining Monforts as engineering service manager. He became head of the service department in 2020 and assumed responsibility for the spare parts department in 2025.
Gingter said he looks forward to meeting Monforts’ global network of customers and suppliers in person at Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt.
“Today’s volatile global market situation will be challenging, but I am ready to navigate Monforts through this demanding time,” Gingter says. “Techtextil serves as an excellent platform for networking and engaging with key industry players, as well as meeting existing and potential customers. Maintaining strong customer relationships is essential, and our goal is to meet their expectations when they invest in our products.”
