Advanced Textiles Association (ATA) announced that the association’s leadership development committee has recommended the appointment of four individuals for board of directors positions beginning in November. There is, however, still an opportunity for additional candidates to be considered. Those interested can submit an independent nomination to ATA through Aug. 27.

Independent nominations due Aug. 27

Independent nominations must be submitted in writing to ATA headquarters in Roseville, Minn., by Aug. 27 at the end of the business day. Nominations must include a petition or letter of support signed by at least 50 ATA members in good standing.

Please mail nominations to:

Steve Schiffman
1801 County B Rd W #100
Roseville, MN 55113

If a nomination meets the qualifications, an electronic ballot will then be sent out on or around Aug. 30 to all voting members for consideration.

The following individuals were chosen by the ATA Leadership Development Committee to be recommended for appointment to board of directors positions beginning in November:

  • Glenn Aust, Ehmke Manufacturing Co., Philadelphia, Penn.
  • John Henderson, P.E., Tensar, a Division of CMC, Alpharetta, Ga.
  • Bret Kelley, Trivantage LLC, Burlington, N.C.
  • John Tavano, Miami Corporation, Cincinnati, Ohio

If no other nominations are received by that date, a unanimous vote will be taken for the slate of candidates recommended by the ATA Leadership Development Committee.
