Registration is now open for this year’s Marine Fabricators Association (MFA) regional workshops.

The Mid-Atlantic Regional Workshop will be held Sept. 11–12, 2026, at Charlton’s Marine Canvas in Yorktown, Va., and Signature CanvasMakers LLC in Hampton, Va. The Northwest Regional Workshop will run Oct. 16–17, 2026, at Little House of Canvas in Everett, Wash.

“We’re excited about this opportunity to offer marine canvas education at member shops located in the mid-Atlantic and West Coast regions,” says Christine Gerard, member programs supervisor at Advanced Textiles Association. “These events are a great opportunity to learn and network in a casual environment.”

The MFA’s regional workshops provide networking and hands-on education in a shop setting. These annual educational sessions offer fabricators an opportunity to observe how other shops approach various projects and business operations.

In addition to the educational sessions, the workshop schedule includes a variety of tabletop exhibits and a shop tour.

“I’m excited for the 2026 regional workshops, which are being hosted by three exceptional shops known for their skill and craftsmanship,” says Eric Sevy, co-chair of the regional workshop committee on the MFA advisory board. “It’s going to be a great opportunity for fabricators to learn, collaborate and build strong industry connections.”

“Regional workshops are a great opportunity to learn new skills valuable to your business,” adds Ron Paratore, co-chair of the regional workshop committee on the MFA advisory board. “And if you’re looking for ways to improve processes, there is no better opportunity than seeing how a fellow fabricator manages tasks, shop layout and organization. You always come away with something you can use in your business immediately.”

Find the most up-to-date information on both workshops and register on the MFA website.
