Rare Business Opportunity: Commercial DyeHouse

| April 19, 2019 | By:

Have you ever wanted to own and operate a commission dyehouse or do you desire to vertically integrate your supply chain? If so, now is the time!

For a very limited time, a unique opportunity exists to acquire the assets of Maine Dye & Textile, a modern New England DyeHouse. Presently located in 12,000 sf of excellent manufacturing space in Saco, ME, Maine Dye has modern and sophisticated equipment including a newly installed pressurized package dyeing system, technical winding, skein dyeing, and radio frequency drying equipment. The Dyehouse also owns the “Paternayan” trademark is also available for sale either together with the equipment or separately. Capabilities of the Dyehouse include:

  • Yarn dyeing and finishing services – both natural and synthetic fibers
  • put up and finishing services including skeining, technical winding, twisting, labeling and B2B packaging
  • color matching and dye standards in collaboration with industry partners
  • in-house formulas in more than 60 color families and 400 shaded colors
  • operating diverse dye programs including organic dyeing currently approved through the standards set by European based international organization, Global Organic Textile Standards

The assets can be bought as a lot and relocated to your facility or the potential exists to acquire the assets in-place as a “turn-key” operation. For the buyer who desires a “turn-key” operation, a lease will need to be negotiated with the landlord of the premises. Along with the equipment and if maintained, there is an established customer list, an experienced Plant Manager and Dyemaster to operate and oversee production and a well-trained and dedicated crew available to work.
