Dutch manufacturer DSM Dyneema calls its ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber Dyneema® the world’s strongest fiber™, and a jury of experts at the Soldier Technology Conference 2013 agreed, awarding the company for Best Light-Weight Protective Product in the Soldier category. Body armor made with Dyneema had unmatched ballistic performance, light weight, flexibility and improved personal comfort, giving it the edge over stiff competition.
