Victor Group achieves FACTS certification

Industry News | March 1, 2014 | By:

The Association for Contract Textiles (ACT) owns the new Facts certification mark, which recognizes contract textiles that meet the multi-attribute NSF/ANSI 336 standard. To carry the Facts mark, a textile must be assessed by an independent third party for eight sustainability attributes: fiber sourcing, safety of materials, water conservation, water quality, energy, air quality, recycling practices and social accountability. Victor Group, Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada, manufactures in textiles for contract, health care, apparel and specialty markets. The company worked with SCS Global Services, which analyzed Victor Group products, beginning with polyester platforms that fall underneath the company’s Eco Intelligence® umbrella. All products certified to date have achieved either a Gold or Silver Facts rating, including panel, seating and health care cubicle fabrics.
