Developed for heat-resistant safety clothing, AMI-FLEX® (AFL) is made of aramid fibers with fiberglass support and laminated on one side with a special aluminized polyester film. Aluminized AMI-FLEX is effective for mid-range temperature applications.

AMI-GLAS® (AGL) is made of 100 percent continuous filament fiberglass with an aluminum foil lamination on one side. Unlike a metalized film, the lamination is done with a .001-inch aluminum foil for overall temperature resistance. The foil is designed to stay intact even after exposure to direct heat. A ravel-resistant coating can be applied to one side to further enhance die-cutting operations. AMI-GLAS is rated to 450°F (232°C).

AMI-TUF® TR is a translucent, flexible heat and fire barrier recommended for fire, smoke and spark containment. It was developed for use in data center protection, hot and cold aisle containment and as a see-through hot work containment enclosure. It meets the requirements of NFPA 75 and 76.

TF820-K Kevlar®, a fine loop terry, is used to manufacture gloves, sleeves, jackets, chaps and other articles of clothing designed to protect users from cuts, abrasions and heat. Kevlar-based protective gear is lighter and thinner than equivalent gear made of more traditional materials. The fabric can be made with other fibers or blends of fibers, based on customer needs.

Providing cut level 3 protection, KEV-7 Kevlar gloves are available in XS, S, M, L and XL. The length of the cuff or sleeve can be customized. In addition, 3-inch wide Kevlar tubing fabric, treated with Sta-Cool, is available for use in cut- and abrasion-protective apparel. The fabric has added wicking potential to draw moisture away from the body, and can be made with other fibers and blends.
