CL Chemical Fiber, Wenzhou, China, signed a master license agreement with NatureWorks LLC, Minnetonka, Minn., to use Ingeo™ renewable plant-based fibers in a full range of spunbond fabrics. Ingeo uses 65 percent less fossil fuel resources than traditional polymers and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 80 to 90 percent, making it a green alternative for CL Chemical Fiber’s hygiene, medical, consumer and landscaping fabrics. “We can offer the reality of distinctive products that can deliver … high performance to our customers who are looking for ways to help protect the environment,” says Sammy Chen, global sales director of CL Chemical Fiber.
