The American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) awarded Ashley E. Bradham, who received her B.S. in polymer and color chemistry from North Carolina State University, with the 2009 Outstanding College Graduate of the Year. The award, which was established in 2002, is given to candidates nominated by the AATCC student chapter faculty advisors. Bradham received the awards for her involvement in the AATCC student chapter at NCSU, her 4.0 grade point average and her volunteer work. AATCC gave Bradham a one-year membership and registration to the AATCC International Conference, $1,000 in cash and a plaque to celebrate her achievements.
