The Weatherhead School of Management, Cleveland, Ohio, and the Council of Small Enterprises recognize the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio each year with the Weatherhead 100 Awards. The top company in the Upstart category is a repeat winner, MMI Textiles Inc., Rocky River, Ohio, which saw sales grow 1,372 percent in its custom fabrics for the industrial textile sewing industry—in just four years. In 2007, MMI acquired NDW Textiles (formerly National Dye Works), allowing MMI to oversee production of its own custom stocks.
