Rapid developments in fabric technology and the ongoing need to protect airmen in extreme environments are two factors spurring the Air Force Uniform Board (AFUB) to develop a seven-year strategic plan to set priorities for future purchases. The AFUB is looking for feedback from airmen on its IDEA Program website and will review suggestions from users. Conversations with the textile industry will also form the strategic plan.
