Atlas® Material Testing Technology LLC, Chicago, Ill., and Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Camas, Wash., will host a technical conference in Shanghai, China, on December 7-8 on new development in the use of photovoltaic (PV) cells for solar power. PV Durability Asia will focus attention on environmental durability, performance and service life of materials, components and PV modules, as well as compliance and certification testing. Materials used to build PV modules include glass, plastic, polymers, sealants and metals, and testing the longevity of each component will be essential as solar products using PV cells are developed.
