[Insect Shield LLC] Greensboro, N.C., U.S.A.

Insect Shield® repellent apparel and gear are an effective new tool to help battle insects and insect-carried diseases such as West Nile virus, malaria and Lyme disease. The combination of the patent-pending Insect Shield process with a proprietary formulation of the insect repellent permethrin results in an effective, odorless insect protection that lasts the expected lifetime of a garment. The technology was used in kangas, the fabric used for clothing and other uses in some African countries, where the Ministry of Hope provided kangas for women who work at the Crisis Nursery in Lilongwe, Malawi. Each year, there are millions of cases of malaria in Africa. This technology can offer durable and effective solutions to people whose lives are threatened by insect-borne diseases.
