Plastic adhesive snap components offer alternative to metal

SNAD plastic adhesive snap components offer the marine industry an alternative to existing metal screw studs. Developed by YKK Snap Fasteners America Inc., the plastic components increase application possibilities. Since there is no need for a functional spring in the plastic socket, there is no concern about any interference with a screw head. With the use of 3M® VHB® Tape, a screw to hold the component to the substrate is not required. SNAD sockets will not corrode, are easy to clean and maintain, and the socket action is consistent after 10,000 snap on/snap off cycles.
