JM Nonwovens invests in sustainable materials

Johns Manville (JM) Nonwovens Europe recently launched an intensive R&D and capital expenditure program to boost its use of raw materials from renewable sources and recycled materials in the manufacture of its products. One project involves converting recycled PET into durable applications such as the DuraSpun carrier for roofing membranes. Another project will be investing in a dedicated binder preparation line at its spunbond plant in Bobingen, Germany, and working toward formaldehyde-free binder systems in the future.
