I use Riviera fabric—can either side be used as its face?
Riviera is a vinyl composite fabric produced by Herculite Products Inc. for the marine industry. We went to them with your question and were told that, yes, it is important to install the fabric correctly. Riviera is designed to have a “weather’’ side and an underside. Not only is the weather side slightly smoother than the underside, but it also has a topcoat treatment, Rainkleen II, which helps to keep the fabric clean and prolong the life of the material. The weather side should face out towards the elements.
