Gerber Technology expands to China

Gerber Technology, Tolland, Conn., recently relocated manufacture of its computer-automated material spreading systems from Ikast, Denmark, to Shanghai, China, to support customers and facilities throughout the Asia Pacific region. Products slated for Chinese manufacture include fabric and apparel equipment such as GERBERspreaders™ XLs50 and XLs125 models, spreading tables and material-feeding systems. Gerber Technology has been manufacturing products in China since 2004, and now provides service and support of its equipment in 129 countries. It also operates advanced technology centers in Belgium, Vietnam and China.
