Modular, sustainable exhibit constructed almost entirely of fabric

[Transformit] Gorham, Maine, U.S.A

Tranformit constructed a 6,000-square-foot exhibit almost entirely of fabric elements for their client, North Face, containing a theater, several meeting spaces, a technical room and six product display areas; only the product merchandising elements are not made from fabric. With a carbon footprint approximately one-third of traditional construction, the client’s desire to highlight their corporate responsibility and sustainability—in addition to technical innovation—was accomplished. The entire design is modular; subsets can be used for smaller shows or showrooms, and the exhibit can be easily reconfigured. The theater, meeting rooms and overhead “clouds” are designed to absorb sound, making the exhibit quieter than most.
