Eriez Model CFP Metal Separators remove metal particles, improve purity

Eriez® Model CFP Metal Separators are designed for installation above the material feed throat of extruders, injection molding or blow molding machines to remove the smallest impurities from plastic regrind and virgin materials. These separators offer high sensitivity to all metal types and a compact design.

As the use of plastic regrind increases, so does the probability of metal contamination, causing plugged nozzles and valve gates, which often leads to machine downtime, delivery delays and repair costs. “The savings resulting from increased machine uptime and reduced repair expenses make the Model CFP a great value,” says Jeff Kaveney, manager of product marketing.

Eriez Model CFP Metal Separators feature automatic self-calibration and monitoring. The CFP can be fine tuned to achieve optimal metal detection sensitivity and reject duration to ensure automatic metal separation without an interruption in material flow. All metal contaminants are removed by an air-powered separating slide and a Venturi nozzle via a flexible hose into a reject material container.

Eriez Model CFP Metal Separators are available in four pipe sizes from approximately 1.2 to 2.4 inches in diameter.
