The Victor Group, Saint-Georges, Quebec, Canada, has completed the first round of an internal assessment of its yarn-dyed panel and health care cubicle platforms to ensure they meet the new sustainability criteria for commercial furnishing fabric, NSF/ANSI 336. According to the voluntary guidelines, Victor’s 100 percent Eco Intelligent® polyester meets the criteria for silver certification. Criteria for NSF/ANSI 336 conformance include fiber sourcing, safety of materials, water conservation and quality, energy, recycling practices, air quality in manufacturing and social accountability. Many of Victor’s Eco Intelligence products have also been third-party certified based on the Cradle-to-Cradle protocol.
