Fabric display completes the concept

The designers for a hospitality trade show in Nashville, Tenn., assembled a team of suppliers to create a total environment, turning a 60,000 square-foot warehouse into multiple “vignettes” with complete mockups of hotel environments: guest rooms, restaurants, fitness centers and bars. “L’Heure Bleue” was a concept bar fabricated for the show by Transformit. Direct and indirect lighting bounced off textured surfaces so the space slowly changed, based on the reflectivity of the twilight-colored lighting, its hourly activities and the number of guests in the space. Show attendees endorsed the novel approach for the displays at the show because buyers and hotel owners saw complete design concepts rather than a mix of individual products.
