Rigid enclosure provides offshore comfort

[Riverside Covers] Fort Myers, Fla., U.S.A.

An avid fisherman, who regularly travels 30-40 miles offshore for his sport, wanted to be able to travel in the comfort of an air-conditioned helm. Riverside Covers was hired to fabricate a three-sided rigid enclosure for the helm area on 375 Pursuit made with 80g impact, modified clear rigid acrylic and trimmed in Ivory Riviera marine vinyl. The panels attached to the existing track and fasteners and incorporated a J-Zip door to allow for easy passage into the helm area and the cockpit, without the need to slide or hinge the “door.” The factory-provided soft vinyl enclosure was quite inadequate, but with the clarity and solidity of the new enclosure, the customer feels like he’s in a different boat.
