Expansion in the flame-resistant division of Mount Vernon Mills, Mauldin, S.C., has led to creation of three new management roles to support a growing market. Melanie Sumner brings 17 years experience in Mount Vernon Mills’ finishing plant to her new role in research and development of yarns and fabric finishes. Ernie Terrell, FR technical specialist, will use 31 years of experience in the safety industry to increase sales of Mount Vernon Mills products in the U.S., with a focus on the Gulf Coast. Craig Tutterow, technical director of FR fabrics, aims to increase technical development and control in FR fabrics based on 32 years of textile experience in chemistry, product development and engineering.
