Concept III Textiles, Red Bank, N.J., brings its performance fabrics to applications in outdoor and active wear, and now has a partner with expertise in the spandex and knits that athletes love to wear. N.C.-based Guilford Performance Textiles has joined Concept III to develop business with leading outdoor and active-wear U.S. apparel brands. The partnership aims to “help customers continue their trend of shifting sourcing back to this hemisphere,” said Devin Warren, Guilford director of sales and product development. Increases in global transportation and manufacturing costs has made apparel production in Mexico and Central America, with lower costs and shorter lead times, more attractive to apparel manufacturers.
