Crisco to run for Congress

Keith Crisco, president and chairman of AEC Narrow Fabrics (Asheboro Elastics) of Asheboro, N.C., is seeking the Democratic party’s nomination to run for the Second Congressional District of North Carolina. Crisco, also a member of Sewn Products Equipment and Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA), will face opposition in the 2014 primary election, but brings to public service business success as a manufacturer of narrow knitted and woven fabrics, an employer of 180 and manager of three U.S. and one foreign facility. His government experience includes a term as North Carolina’s Secretary of Commerce.
