MMI Textiles promotes Rivera, Grant

Two key employees of MMI Textiles, Westlake, Ohio, were promoted to management positions in the textile supply company in March.

  • Nick Rivera joined MMI Textiles when the company acquired NDW Textiles Inc. in 2006, working in customer service for a year before being promoted to production manager. He was recently named director of operations and will serve as part of the management group led by president and founder Amy Bircher Hammond. Prior to joining MMI, Rivera worked in a supervisory role in the public sector. He graduated with a B.A. in education from Cleveland State University.
  • Debbie Grant started at MMI Textiles four year ago as an administrative assistant and special projects coordinator, gradually assuming responsibilities for customer service, marketing and supervision. She spearheaded website redesign, annual trade shows, inventory, office relocation and digital printing and hardware programs. She has been promoted to office manager. Grant has 12 years experience in retail management, territory management, business development, marketing and national store planning. She earned a B.S. degree in Fashion Merchandising from Ohio State University.
