Designtex, New York, N.Y., has launched a new coated fabrics collection designed for demanding health care environments such as patient care rooms.

Featuring a mix of solids, textures and patterns, the Check-Up collection includes 10 versatile upholstery fabrics, offering a range of high performance polyurethane, nylon microfiber and vinyl seating options, all of which achieve 100,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs in abrasion testing.

All styles are bleach-cleanable and feature performance finishes with stain resistance and durability; most allow the use of germicides typically used in healthcare settings. In addition, select styles use specialized coatings or finishes that inhibit mold, mildew and bacteria; others are free of antimicrobial qualities, as required by some healthcare specifiers.
