When a Cleveland Browns fan requested a custom cover for his new Big Green Egg—an outdoor cooker that is a grill, an oven and a smoker rolled into one—Capital City Awning of Columbus, Ohio, took the opportunity to create a fun, unique design. The customer gave Capital City creative control with one request—the cover needed to match his favorite team’s iconic orange and brown colors. The company took the design further and fashioned a football to cover the “egg’s” lid, which projected above the unit’s stand.

Capital City chose Sunbrella® fabric by Glen Raven Custom Fabrics LLC of Glen Raven, N.C., for the cover, supplied by Toledo, Ohio-based Keystone Bros. Orange stripes and the letter B—representing both the Browns and the first initial of the customer’s last name—were cut and hot-knifed and sewed to the bottom portion of the cover. The football was also cut and sewn into the 72-by-48-by-36-inch cover.
