There are pop-up restaurants, pop-up shops, how about a pop-up hotel? It only makes sense in a world where more people want simple solutions when they travel. That’s the idea behind Snoozy, the mobile hotel that can be set up wherever and whenever.
Snoozy takes the idea of “glamping” a step further. It can be used at festivals, sporting events, family get-togethers and for camping. It can also be deployed for temporary hotel accommodations, permanent installations and can even be stacked to create mobile hotels.
Created by AirClad®, an Antwerp, Belgium, designer and builder of next-generation temporary prefabricated event buildings, Snoozy is a flat-packed, two-to-four-person portable sleeping unit. It consists of an aluminum-extruded structural frame that is wrapped in a sealed air-inflated skin, or Aircell, that is constructed from a heavy-duty polyester reinforced PVC flexible fabric. It is HF-welded to create an airtight skin that is able to support the tension and hold the air pressure required for the unique structural integrity of the pod.
The contemporary interior of the Snoozy is complete with beds, lighting, security, storage, shelves and coat hangers. A sliding door system allows for efficient use of floor space and extra security in windy weather conditions. A standard Snoozy can come with different configurations including double bed, two single beds or double bunk beds. It can even have a private, integrated bathroom. Additional sizes and configurations are available.
