Slide into a pair of Calzedonia cosmetic effect jeans, and the slinky, body-hugging design will showcase long legs to perfection. It’s what the jeans do after you take them off, however, that makes them an innovative investment in beauty.

Calzedonia, a brand of Calin Group, based in Attica, Greece, sells hosiery, leggings and swimwear from more than 3,500 stores in 33 countries. The company joined forces with the Solvay Group, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, to incorporate a new material into jean designs—Emana®. Emana is a polyamide 6-6 based smart yarn with bioactive minerals incorporated into its structure. In contact with skin, Emana absorbs body heat, returns thermal energy to the skin, enhances blood microcirculation and improves skin appearance. Clinical tests conducted by independent cosmetic testing labs documented the improvement; skin becomes more elastic, firm and soft, and skin imperfections and “orange-peel” appearance are reduced. Emana yarns, certified by OEKO-TEX® for safety, remain an effective beauty aid even after unlimited washings.

The stylish cosmetic effect jeans, designed in both skinny and flared versions, are only part of the Calzedonia line of Emana garments. The brand also offers shorts, long shorts, thick tights and two types of leggings with elastic and “skintastic” effects.
