Hexcel Corporation, a Stanford, Conn. manufacturer of advanced composites, has opened a $10 million innovation center in Duxford, U.K., to support the growing worldwide demand for composite materials for aerospace and industrial markets. The site is Hexcel’s largest research center for resin systems and adhesives. Duxford is also Hexcel’s center of excellence for process technology including product scale-up and research into new processes for making composite materials, including quality control methods.
