The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and the European Union (EU) is expected to be signed given the fact that the dialogue between the two entities has been revived, according to Rashmi Verma, secretary of India’s Ministry of Textiles. Verma also hinted at taking steps to get an FTA with the U.S. ratified as well. Apparel exporters from clusters like Tirupur requested a speedy adoption of FTAs with the EU and the U.S. because the majority of their exports are to these two regions.
