Bernardsville, N.J.-based Offray Specialty Narrow Fabrics, a manufacturer of high performance narrow fabrics, has changed its name to OTEX Specialty Narrow Fabrics.

“With a nod to our past, we kept our family initial ‘O,’” said company owner and CEO Denise Offray. “‘TEX’ represents our textile heritage. Our new name represents the advanced manufacturer we have become.”

OTEX Specialty Narrow FabricsTM weaves a variety of advanced fibers including, but not limited to, aromatic polyamids (aramids), ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (Dyneema®, Spectra®), as well as unique elastics that include the OTEX branded Sentry FR® collection.

OTEX is an inaugural member of AFFOA (Advanced Functional Fabrics of America). AFFOA brings together universities, government and private enterprises ranging from fabric manufacturers, to software and nanotechnology developers to develop the next generation of technical textiles.
