Suited against Zika

Projects | November 1, 2016 | By:

With the dangers of the Zika virus, West Nile, Lyme disease and other mosquito- and tick-born illnesses, protection for people who work outdoors is more critical than ever.

Green Mountain Products, Norwalk, Conn., is now making available its time-tested superpolymer suit to provide head-to-toe protection against mosquitoes, ticks, bees and other insects. Virtually impregnable, it can protect against micro particle intrusion of foreign matter down to .5 (one-half micron).

The suit, which has been available for industrial and other workers for more than a dozen years, also protects against hazards including powdered lead paint, asbestos and herbicides as well as dry pesticides. It features a full-zipper front and elastic wrists, ankles and face opening for head-to-toe protection.

Coveralls that protect against industrial hazards are also a safeguard against mosquito, tick and insect-borne illnesses. Photo: Green Mountain Products.
