Sage Automotive Interiors, Greenville, S.C., has acquired the automotive manufacturing assets of Italy-based Apollo S.p.A. with the goal of expanding capacity and capability for automotive interior products to the European market. Based in Florence, Italy, and Bucharest, Romania, Apollo is ideally suited to supply automotive fabrics and sewn covers in Central and Eastern Europe. The two companies have a long history of working closely together in Europe. Manufacturing will continue with woven and knitted products for automotive OEMs. The facilities will be positioned for continued growth in capacity and employment for production of automotive textiles.
