Carla MacClamrock is this year’s recipient of the AATCC Technical Committee on Research Service Award. She was recognized for her contributions in the development of a new test method for formaldehyde determination. MacClamrock led the effort to develop a test method that uses a water submersion technique to determine formaldehyde content in textiles. This test simulates real time, normal conditions. MacClamrock has been a member of AATCC since 1987 and serves on a number of committees. She has been with Cotton Incorporated for 15 years and currently serves as an analytical laboratory manager.
