Chinese textile manufacturer Shandong Ruyi will acquire INVISTA’s Apparel & Advanced Textiles business, which includes the global LYCRA® brand. The transaction will be in the form of stock to further solidify Ruyi’s position as a global leader in the apparel and hygiene markets, and is expected to be completed by mid-2018. In addition to Lycra, the portfolio includes COOLMAX® fiber, THERMOLITE® fiber and insulation, ELASPAN® fiber, SUPPLEX® fiber and TACTEL® fiber; TERATHANE® polytetramethylene ether glycol, 1,4 butanediol, and tetrahydrofuran production.
