In honor of America Recycles Day, Unifi Inc., the global leader in branded recycled performance fibers, announced that the company has recycled more than 10 billion plastic bottles. Looking to the future, Unifi plans to recycle 20 billion bottles by 2020 and 30 billion by 2022. In addition, Unifi is launching the REPREVE Champions of Sustainability Awards to recognize customers who have partnered with them to reach this goal. The awards will acknowledge companies that are committed to manufacturing sustainable products with REPREVE performance fibers. The 2017 winners of the awards will be announced at the 2018 Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Denver, Jan. 25–28.
