MIPS, the Stockholm, Sweden-based brain safety technology company, will incorporate GlideWear to develop new products designed to protect the brains of athletes wearing hard shell helmets. The agreement between MIPS and GlideWear manufacturer Tamarack Habilitation Technologies Inc., will combine two revolutionary technologies. MIPS products address the rotational forces and energies that are linked to brain injuries. GlideWear is a two-layer, multi-directional stretch, low-friction fabric that absorbs harmful friction and shear that contributes to brain injuries.
