John Carter, founder of award-winning J & J Carter Ltd., Hampshire, U.K., died on March 31 at age 78. Carter founded J & J Carter in 1988, building a strong and reputable name in the industry. Carter loved his work and the dedicated team working alongside him. He had an unwavering commitment to quality and service, and built his company based on family values. MUTA (the trade organization for the tent and structures industry in the United Kingdom) honored Carter with its President’s Award in 2004. Carter was also active in the Tent Rental Division of IFAI, and the company is a past International Achievement Award winner.
