Quiksilver, the surf brand that recycles plastic to make boardshorts, jackets and other garments, has recycled more than 100 million plastic bottles in collaboration with REPREVE® fabric. The recycled polyester gives a second life to used plastic and reduces the global footprint of a product significantly. On World Surfing Day, June 16, 2018, Quiksilver donated $10 from every boardshorts sale containing REPREVE fabric to 5 Gyres, a non-profit organization that empowers action against the global health crisis of plastic pollution through science, education and adventure.
