The Secondary Materials and Recycled Textiles (SMART) Association celebrated Global Recycling Day on March 18 by raising awareness of the future of textile recycling. Organized by the Bureau of International Recycling, the annual event is an opportunity to change the mindset of governments, businesses, communities and individuals to see recyclables as a resource, not waste. SMART’s for-profit membership works to make a difference using innovative technology and creating new best practices for textile recycling.
