Henderson Sewing Machine Co. Inc. hosted Bill Jackson, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Textiles in the U.S. Trade Representative’s (USTR) office and Lloyd Wood, Deputy Secretary for Textiles, Consumer Goods and Materials at the U.S. Commerce Department, for a plant tour and discussion on the company’s commitment to U.S. investment in the textile and sewn products industries and the Administration’s key trade and investment priorities.
The two U.S. trade officials toured Henderson’s facilities in Andalusia, Ala., on January 8, 2020, and met with Frank Henderson, CEO; Bruce Moore, director of sales and marketing; Marty Wacaster, technical service manager; and Mario Gauna, international sales and marketing. Discussions were held regarding an array of government policies and priorities on topics like tariffs, automation in the textile and sewn products industries and workforce development.
