Bally Ribbon Mills (BRM), producer of specialized engineered woven fabrics, has launched a line of advanced textile products to increase part functionality and utility. TPCM thermoplastic composite materials are 2D- or 3D-woven thermoplastic structures for incorporation into composite parts produced within varied molding processes. The materials offer lighter weight, specific strength, durability, stability, abrasion resistance and sustainability. The woven structural shapes are used in hybrid composite structures and find application in a variety of industries including aerospace and aviation, automotive and other transportation, defense, architecture and infrastructure, marine, sports and recreation. Based in Bally, Pa., BRM customizes weave designs to modify performance properties considering application details, width, tensile strength, elongation, color, quantity and other special requirements.
