B.I.G. Yarns now offers solution-dyed PET BCF yarns to ensure high performance for automotive carpets, including durability and abrasion and stain resistance. The yarns pass all stringent automotive tests including the Taber test for abrasion performance, the compressibility and recovery ability test, lightfastness in automotive (DIN EN ISO 105-B06) and VOC (fogging) according to the VDA 278 test on VOC and FOG emissions. These new materials are helping to ensure improved and more sustainable end of life recycling of electric vehicles.
