Spiber Inc., a biotech company based in Yamagata, Japan, known for its Brewed Protein™ fiber, announced the continuation of its partnership with Consinee Group Co. Ltd., a textile manufacturer for luxury knitwear and woven garments based in Ningbo, China.
Begun in 2023, the collaboration has allowed the two companies to explore new possibilities by combining Spiber’s Brewed Protein fiber with Consinee’s expertise in spinning high-quality yarns. The partnership also underscores a shared commitment to advancing the textile industry with innovative and sustainable solutions tailored for the world’s leading brands.
The partnership between Spiber and Consinee Group has already yielded results, with several yarns now available for sale. These yarns, which are composed of between 30–100% Brewed Protein fiber, are suitable for knitwear applications.
