The American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Arlington, Va., has launched the website DiscoverComposites.com. The new resource is designed to educate end-users about the possibilities of fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite materials. The website is part of the organization’s ongoing effort to help the industry speak with a unified voice about the benefits and possibilities of composite materials. It offers an introduction to the basics, benefits, manufacturing process, how they compare to other materials and case studies. The website also rebuts commonly held myths about FRP and offers a comprehensive list of standards and guides developed by ACMA and other members of the composites community.
