Schoeller Technologies AG has been awarded the Textile Design Award 2009 by the Swiss Textiles & Zumsteg Foundation for the textile finishing technology coldblack®. Coldblack, the result of a close cooperation between Schoeller and Clariant Intl., significantly reduces the absorption of solar rays, keeping dark-colored textiles cooler in sunlight; it also provides reliable protection from damaging UV rays. The biennial Design Prize Switzerland honors outstanding achievements and encourages new paths in the future of design.
