The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), a Switzerland-based industry group, has confirmed the recovery of textile industries in China, India and Brazil following the global recession. ITMF reports that third-quarter 2009 yarn and fabric production rose in almost all regions except North America, where output was stagnant. In world yarn production, South America took the lead, with a 5 percent increase in the third quarter. Fabric production in South America surged by 18 percent.
